Honda initially entered Bucknum for their second car, but later withdrew his entry, and his seat was taken by Gregory of Scuderia Centro Sud. Hawkins didn’t have his car available. Amon only participated in practice using the car of Ian Raby, who participated in the race. Gurney had engine problems in his #8 Brabham at the grid formation, and Brabham gave up his #7 car for Gurney to participate in the race (there was no time to change the numbers). |
