| Jarier had one lap added to the race result for overtaking under yellow flag. Emerson Fittipaldi was absent from the race because of track safety issues. Merzario and W. Fittipaldi also withdrew from the race after a lap, protesting against the lack of safety. The race was ended after 29 of the 75 laps due to an accident with Rolf Stommelen.
